Coming to Grips with Pinching

Pinching is almost as terrible as getting tickled.

Getting tickled is worse because there is the added risk of peeing your pants.

Pinching just hurts.

As a middle school teacher, I dreaded Saint Patrick’s Day.  I would inevitably forget to wear green, and then get pinched all day long by nerdy 13-year-olds.

Thinking back on it, I’m grateful Saint Patrick’s Day didn't also involve tickling.  That would have been awkward.  For all of us.

  1. Pinching is awkward. You get the creepy guys that get a little too happy about pinching you, or you get the people who relish pinching you with enough force to cause a blood blister... or you get the goobers who pinch you even if you wear green. It's a lose/lose situation:)

  2. I hate St. Patrick's with a fiery passion. What a lame holiday.

  4. I told my kids to keep their green hidden, like just wearing green undies, so that they could pinch more.. They thougt Iwas disgusting and wanted to know if I did that when i was little. Yes, I did. Did I show boys my undies as a small child, yes. Was I advocating that for my children, i think i might have been!

  5. Great post--so refreshing after all the cutesy, "Look how we celebrated St. Patty's Day in Our House!" posts. Your blog is a breath of fresh air. Love it!
